Rosie and Scarlett March are two sisters who are joined at the heart. Their lives are dominated by a secret knowledge that monsters are real. The girls' days revolve around hunting the Fenris--the werewolves who walk undetected among us, killing young girls. Scarlett is driven to protect the world, in whatever small way she can contribute, from the monsters lurking around every corner--the same monsters who maimed her as a child. Rosie hunts out of fear of breaking the bond between them. With the help of their friend Silas, Rosie and Scarlett must uncover the reason behind a rash of new Fenris killings, and sort out their own relationship and destinies along the way.

Based on Little Red Riding Hood, Sisters Red explores themes of psychological trauma, pursuing your life's calling, protecting the innocent, love, loss, and secrets. The suspenseful page-turner will keep you captivated from the vicious wolf attack in the first pages to the thrilling conclusion. Due to the romantic entanglements and violence in these stories, the series is recommended for 8th grade and up. Check out the video below for a teaser for the book, and if you're hooked by Sisters Red, check out the companion book, Sweetly (based on Hansel and Gretel), and the upcoming follow-up, Fathomless (based on The Little Mermaid), coming September 2012.
